Job Posting: Documentary Producer's Assisstant
Tiny Toronto-based documentary production company seeks an enthusiastic and detail-oriented producer’s assistant for a one-year contract, beginning in mid-late October 2011. The assistant will work 40 hours/week, and will be paid $15/hr.
This is an administrative position. Primary duties will include general office administration (filing, faxing, photocopying, running errands, preparing mailings), basic website maintenance, and customer service. Additional duties may include assisting with festival entries, grant applications, and project research.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized and have a keen eye for detail. Proficient on Macs and in Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to learn the basics of a web-based CMS. S/he will need to juggle many priorities, deadlines and responsibilities. A large part of the assistant’s time will be spent contributing to outreach and audience engagement efforts for our film, Living Downstream.
