"The Director's Journey" is a 16-week filmmaking laboratory that leads ten novice directors on the journey of making a documentary under the guidance of an experienced filmmaker. The course includes one-on-one mentoring sessions and is limited to 10 participants. In the end, each filmmaker walks away with a tangible product for use to fundraise, send to festivals or simply for exploring a topic that may later be expanded into a feature length film. The cost of the course is $799, but the Story Studio is extending a special discount for DOC members that reduces the total to $598 (HST included) if used by the January 20th "early-bird" deadline.
