Reboot #3 - Kat Cizek
Kat Cizek is the National Film Board of Canada's award winning Filmmaker In Residence. A practitioner of "interventionist media", Kat makes documentary films and new media projects in collaboration with her subjects. Her latest project, HighRise, looks at the growing phenomenon of vertical communities around the world. In this presentation for Reboot, Kat gives a survey of the landscape of digital documentaries (or "digidocs"), presenting examples of the most compelling uses of new media technology in the service of what the NFB's founder John Grierson called "the creative treatment of actuality". Kat is one of the Reboot mentors, who from February 16th-19th, 2010, are developing cross platform documentaries and exploring the potential of online collaboration. Hi everyone!
Hi,
Kat's nice presentation stops when there's a bit to go (while watching the visualization of flights in America). Would love to watch the end.
