LIFT presents 30 x 30: Newly commissioned works

Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) presents 30 X 30: NEWLY COMMISSIONED WORKS FOR THIRTY YEARS OF FILMMAKING at Toronto's AGO Jackman Hall from January 19 to 21 at 8 pm,

In celebration of three decades of filmmaking the Liaison of Independent LIFT has commissioned thirty Canadian film veterans and emerging voices to make new works originating on or in the spirit of Super 8mm film. Without thematic guidance other than the small-format film gauge these artists have produced twenty-nine stunning new works. From lively animations to sparse landscape studies and diaristic narratives these films and videos illustrate the breadth of work being produced today.
