Invisible City hits the big and small screen

Hubert Davis' acclaimed documentary Invisible City launches in Canadian theatres starting at Toronto's Royal Cinema starting on Friday, February 5. The film will premiere on TVO (TV Ontario) on Wednesday, February 10. Festival goers can also catch Invisible City at The Caribbean Tales Youth Film Festival on Wednesday, February 24.

Invisible City won the Best Canadian Feature award at the 2009 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. Directed and edited by Oscar nominee Hubert Davis, the film traces three years in the challenging lives of two teenage boys living in Canada’s largest social housing project, Regent Park in Toronto. Invisible City was produced by Industry Pictures/Shine Films in co-production with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). Watch a trailer at http://workforall.nfb.ca/Invisible-city.

The Royal Cinema is located at 608 College St. West, Toronto (416-534-5252). Screening times are:
Friday, February 5th at 7 pm; Saturday, February 6th at 4:30 pm and 7 pm; Monday, February 8th at 7 pm; Tuesday, February 9th at 7 pm; Wednesday, February 10th at 7 pm; Thursday, February 11th at 9:15 pm.

Invisible City will air on TVO on February 10 at 10:00 pm, February 11 at 01:00 pm and February 14 at 10:45 pm. The Caribbean Tales Youth Film Festival in Toronto is also holding a Gala Launch screening of Invisible City on Wednesday, February 24 at 9:30 AM.
