Sheffield Doc/Fest Canadian delegation deadline
Hot Docs is coordinating the Canadian delegation to Sheffield Doc/Fest in UK, securing Canadian professionals value-for-money access. The registration deadline is July 20. Sheffield Doc/Fest is UK's premier documentary marketplace, festival and conference, taking place from November 3 to 7, 2010.
Sheffield Doc/Fest offers extensive marketplace opportunities for all delegates. In 2009, 139 decision makers attended Doc/Fest, and close to 100 are already confirmed for 2010. Doc/Fest is the perfect place to meet potential production investors and production partners. The relaxed atmosphere provides a perfect forum to hold informal and formal meetings in and around the Marketplace, the Showroom Bar, the Industry Delegate Centre or the many bars and cafes around the area.
Members of the Canadian delegation at Sheffield Doc/Fest will be offered a heavily-reduced rate pass of £150 (plus VAT), will be named in the festival catalogue and website, and be profiled on the website in a devoted section. There will be a special reduced hotel room rate of approximately £50 per night (subject to change). Marktplace and Industry Producer Charlie Phillips will offer one-to-one advice to all delegation members on how to develop and pitch your projects and which decision-makers to meet, as well as helping to facilitate one-to-one meetings.
Furthermore special advice of how to make the most of the event will be offered by Doc/Fest to the Canadian delegation members via a devoted "Road Map" guide to what market and conference events to go to, when and why, made most relevant to Canadian professionals.
