Gail Currie

Gail’s interest in video as a story-telling tool was ignited after taking courses in scriptwriting and documentary filmmaking at MacEwan. She graduated with a Professional Writing Diploma in 2007 and by the end of 2008 premiered her first documentary, "A Perfect Passion: Mykola Kanevets & the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company". Gail acted as producer/director/writer/co-editor on this project. It was in doing this first documentary that Gail came to realize there was still another Cheremosh story to be told and her second documentary, "The Faces of Cheremosh: A Forty-Year Reflection", premiered on OMNI Television in Ontario, Alberta & B.C. on October 2, 2011. She is currently researching another topic area for her third documentary.
