DOC Ottawa-Gatineau March 27 Workshop
DOC Ottawa-Gatineau is hosting a full day 'Making a Fundraising Demo That Actually Gets Funding!' workshop with internationally-renowned speaker, author and story consultant, Fernanda Rossi on Saturday, March 27 from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm at Algonquin College, Woodroffe Campus.
Fernanda Rossi, the Doc Doctor, has doctored more than 300 documentaries, scripts, and fundraising trailers including two Academy Award® nominated documentaries. She is also the author of Trailer Mechanics: A Guide to Making your Documentary Fundraising Trailer. During this full day workshop for producers, directors, writers and editors you will:
* Learn the most common mistakes when making a trailer and how to avoid them
* Learn the foundational story structures for fundraising trailers
* View trailers before and after Fernanda’s doctoring.
* View successful fundraising trailers.
* View fundraising trailers from the audience followed by discussion.
Bring your work-in-progress for analysis and discussion (not a requirement for attendance).
Price: $95.00 for DOC members, $115.00 for non-members. Lunch is included and attendees have the chance to win a door prize: 1 day of Online Editing (Standard Definition) or 1/2 day of Online Editing (Hi Definition) at Affinity Productions.
