DOC BC panel discussion - April 26

DOC BC presents 'Decoding the world of film and television markets' on Monday, April 26 at 6:30 at the SFU Harbour Centre. Panelists include Lynn Booth, Executive Producer ad President, Make Believe Media, Gabrielle Schonbach, Vice President and Executive Producer at Omni Film Productions and Janine Bizzocchi Steele, Business Analyst at British Columbia Film.

DOC BC is presenting the panel of experts to help guide you through the market maze. Discussions will include: What markets are good for what type of programs; how to apply for funds from programs like BC Film's "Passport to Markets"; or NSI's (National Screen Institute) marketing program; what other support is available to help you take your project as far as it can go. Audience participation, questions and discussions are encouraged.

There are many markets out there MIPTV, MIPCOM, Hot Docs TDF, BANFF, LA TV FEST, Reel Screen, Natpe, Sunny Side of the Doc, History Makers: International Summit of History and Current Affairs to name a few. How do you decode the acronyms and make sense of where you best fit and where it makes the most sense to spend your limited budget to get your film, project or idea seen or heard?
