Hot Docs announces Audience Choice and Filmmakers Award at most successful festival to date

Hot Docs has revealed that the 2010 Audience Award winner is Mark Landsman's Thunder Soul followed by John Walker's A Drummer's Dream and German Berger's My Life With Carlos followed in votes. The inaugural Filmmakers Award, voted by filmmakers with official selections in the 2010 Festival, goes to Jan Tenhven's Autumn Gold.

Hot Docs also announced that this year's edition is its most successful festival to date with audience numbers reaching an estimated 136,000. The box office saw a 10 per cent increase in overall sales.
